


About The Script
The original Broadway production of Clyde's, written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage, premiered in the Hayes Theatre on November 23rd, 2021. ​​ The Broadway cast featured Uzo Aduba as Clyde, Ron Cephas Jones as Montrellous, Edmund Donovan as Jason, Reza Salazar as Rafael, and Kara Young as Letitia.

Although the production had a brief initial run, spanning from November 23rd, 2021, to January 16, 2022, it was met with high critical acclaim—the production was nominated for 4 Tony Awards, including Best Play, and won 4 Drama Desk Awards. Clyde's has also seen great success in regional theaters, and has been one of the most-produced plays nationally since 2022.
